The 13° Forum of Italian Ambient Assisted Living (ForItAAL 2024) serves as the annual gathering for professionals, companies, end-user organizations, policymakers, research institutions, and universities. It provides a platform for discussing the challenges posed by digital transformation and smart technologies in the field of active and healthy aging. The primary goal is to foster innovation, share knowledge, and explore opportunities within the realms of Ambient Assisted Living, Active & Healthy Ageing, and Smart Living.

ForItAAL2024 welcomes original contributions describing technically rigorous scientific and research advances in the area of smart technologies and artificial intelligent solutions for active and healthy ageing. The conference main themes will focus on innovative ideas and concepts, new discoveries and improvements, novel applications and latest fundamental advances in core technologies, data evidence and impactful studies and projects on digital transformation and its impact on our society.

Papers should contain original research that has neither been published nor submitted for publication elsewhere. It is possible that your manuscript will be run through our plagiarism-checking tool.

Authors are invited to submit their papers via the Springer EquinOCS submission system. Please login using your existing Springer account or register if you are a new user.

Authors can submit the complete manuscripts in PDF format following Springer’s author’s guidelines either for LaTex or Word for the preparation of their manuscripts. Springer’s proceedings LaTeX templates are also available in Overleaf. We recommend the authors to choose one of the following submission modalities:

  • REGULAR PAPER (from 12 to 20 pages) must be prepared using Regular Paper Template Word or Latex.
  • SHORT PAPER (from 2 to 4 pages) must be prepared using Short Paper Template Word or Latex.
  • The front page must contain the title of the paper, full name(s) and address(es) of the author(s) and the appropriate academic field(s). Springer encourages authors to include their ORCIDs in their papers. 

    Authors must be made aware of the fact that they have to submit a signed Consent to Publish form, through which the copyright of their paper is transferred to Springer. The corresponding author should sign on behalf of all of the authors of a particular paper, having obtained their permission to do so in advance. The corresponding author cannot be changed once the files have been sent to Springer.

    All papers will be refereed by the program committee, but only REGULAR paper will be included in the conference proceedings published in the Lecture Notes in Bioengineering series. The proceedings of the conference are indexed by SpringerLink and Scopus. All authors must be aware that they have to submit a signed Consent to Publish form, through which the copyright of their paper is transferred to Springer. The corresponding author should sign on behalf of all the authors of a particular paper, having obtained their permission to do so in advance. The corresponding author cannot be changed once the files have been sent to Springer.
